Growing up in Ibadan, Oyo State, he was heavily influenced by his father, Moshood Ajiwere Layeye, a Wéré music artist and elder cousin of Fuji legend Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. This strong musical lineage set the foundation for Osupa’s rise as one of the most respected figures in the Fuji genre.
